Pick a time, bring your people, and show up ready for the water. We keep the details clear so the experience feels easy from the moment you book to the moment you launch.

Self-serve from pickup to return

Paradise Paddles is a contactless, self-serve rental experience. After you book, we send clear pickup details and step-by-step instructions so you can find your gear, grab your kayak or paddle board, life jacket, and paddle, then walk right to Neil's Pond in under 2 minutes. When your paddle is done, you bring the gear back to the same easy pickup spot, give it a quick wipe down, and return everything using the instructions we sent. There is no staff member on site, but the full process is built to feel simple, clear, and easy from arrival to return.

Family run

Local family owned, built to make great times easy, safe and accessible.

We are Dom and Karinna, our girls Aura and Gaia, and our dogs Anney and Guapo. We are a Canadian-Chilean family of six, and we started Paradise Paddles by accident in 2024. Originally, we purchased two kayaks for ourselves to enjoy our backyard. Soon after, we learned our twin girls would be joining us, so we had to set those kayaks aside. But rather than pack them up for good, we thought it would be great if someone else could enjoy our backyard too. One Facebook Marketplace post later, Paradise Paddles was born. We have now welcomed nearly 1,000 guests and still carry the same mantra: make a simple, safe, and memorable experience for everyone who wants to enjoy our backyard. We prioritize making things easy to understand, enjoyable, and memorable.

Don't mind getting a little wet? You are on the water anyway. When the morning forecast shows a 100% chance of rain in Paradise during operating hours, same-day bookings save 35%.

Booking process was efficient. Dom reached out the day of to let us know when the wind picked up and offered us a re-schedule. Pick up was seamless. Gear was in good shape. Pond is great for beginners and families. Peace in the city - ducks and birds around. We even went for a quick swim after. A great afternoon!

How much does it cost?

Prices start at $35 for a single kayak rental for up to 2 hours. Current rental options and pricing are shown when you book.

Where are you located?

We launch from Neil's Pond in Paradise. Exact pickup and access details are shared after your booking is confirmed.

I've never kayaked before. Is it beginner friendly?

Yes. Neil's Pond is calm and not deep, which makes it a comfortable place to try kayaking for the first time.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes. Life jackets are included with every kayak and paddle board rental.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We need at least 30 minutes' notice, but spots can fill quickly. Booking about 3 days ahead is the best way to secure your preferred time.

What is the cancellation policy?

Regular rentals can be refunded with at least 24 hours notice, and rescheduled any time before the booking starts when availability allows. Illuminated evening bookings have a 7-day refund window and 5-day non-weather rescheduling window. Same-day customer-requested cancellations are not refundable. See the full cancellation policy.
